August 17, 2010
The meeting was called to order by president Mike Nostro at 7 pm. There were 48 members and visitors present. Visitors Rich and Eleanor Craig joined the club at the meeting.

Mike announced the members Wayne & Terry Levesque were given high honors from the Apopka Chamber of Commerce for their pest control business. Congratulations to them both.
The officers nominated last month were officially accepted since there was no opposition for any office, and will assume their duties starting at the next meeting. The new officers are as follows:
President - Jon Adams
V. President - BJ LaMontagne
Secretary - Rena Woodley
Treasurer - Susan King.
Mike recapped the Breakfast and Beach day at New Smyrna, and Nick Francoforte recapped the Victory Ship Tour and lunch in Tampa.
Future activities were discussed, including the upcoming trip to Savannah, the basket social fund raiser for Give Kids the World, the Florida Corvette Fall Classic Car Show in Davenport, FL, a Mystery Lunch Road Rally produced by Ed Merchut, and an update on the club Christmas party. Information on these events will be available on the web site, and through emails sent to members.
Don Ianitelli gave an update on the Basket Social. There are 16 baskets committed at present, and at least 25 were requested. The drawing will be held Nov. 17th at the Metro West Golf Club, the night of our last meeting of the year. Further details are available from Don or Mary Ellen Gosselin.
Colleen Hutton put out a request for convertibles for upcoming Homecoming parades for local high schools. She will send out a list of dates cars are needed, and requested volunteers to drive for these events. The club will be paid by each school, and funds will be added to the treasury to offset the cost of the Christmas party, and for the club charity.
Colleen also presented details for a 3 night cruise out of Port Canaveral in February, 2011. Details will be sent out to members soon, so that cabins can be booked.
The 50/50 collected $146, and $73 was won by new member Rich Craig. NCM cups donated by the Hines' were won by Rich Craig, Larry Giles and Susan King. A box of Belgian chocolates were auctioned off for $25, won by Russ Mello.
