Howard stayed close to the action for these shots in the Garages and Pit Road prior to the race, and spent most of the race in the stands near the entrance to, and exit from the inside road course.  See this gallery and two additional for plenty of daytime race action featuring not only the new Corvette Daytona Prototypes but all the other Prototypes and GT Class cars as well.  The Ford powered #60 car - a Ford Riley machine, crossed the finish line first with Nascar's AJ Almendinger at the helm.. 761 laps!  Just 3/1000's second later, Alan McNish motored another Ford Riley to second place.  Finishing 5th overall and 3 laps back was the Action Express Corvette with Christian Fittapaldi. Click any image to enlarge/start Full Frame Viewer.
